Hollywood sure is one fickle, strange beast, where no matter the good intentions of a cast and crew, and no matter how great an idea might seem be on paper, that doesn't mean it won't be a trainwreck when it finally hits cinemas.
These 14 movies, the majority of them sequels, remakes, reboots, spin-offs and adaptations of popular existing properties, were all conceived with the notion that they'd deliver easy box office success. As it stands, however, each is currently leaving potential audiences sceptical about their ability to deliver.
From continually stalled productions to delayed release dates, uninspired trailers and even juicy on-set rumblings that all is not well, if any of these 14 movies manage to be both critical and commercial hits, it'd be a huge surprise.
Each of these films raises a number of worrying red flags, and short of some surprising behind-the-scenes miracles, the writing is already on the wall that they're going to prove majorly disappointing...
