Why It Should Suck: Where to begin? This seems to be a reboot of the classic 1995 Robin Williams movie that's pretending to be a sequel, brought to the screen by the director of Sex Tape, and writers responsible for the likes of Kangaroo Jack and The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Simply, it's a film that just doesn't need to exist.
Why It Might Be Awesome: Well, at least the cast is pretty great, and in fairness, the script does also come from the minds behind The LEGO Batman Movie and Spider-Man: Homecoming, which both ended up critically acclaimed box office hits.
Plus, with the new character avatar gimmick, where the teenage protagonists enter a video game and become the larger-than-life caricatures played by The Rock, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan and Jack Black, it's at least going to bring something unique to the table compared to the original.
And with The Rock claiming that the new movie will respect the original film, could it even include a touching tribute to Robin Williams, or at the very least, not completely disgrace his legacy?
