7. Brahms: The Boy II

It’s that time alright—the January horror section of every bad movie list, where we add the flicks dropped into the dumping ground month to our ever-growing genre-filled trash fire. This year may not have given us an all-time unintentionally funny howler like The Bye Bye Man (still saying it, still thinking it, after all these years), but it did offer up a rare treat—a sequel to another January horror!

2016’s The Boy may have been boring, but it at least had a bonkers twisted lifted from superior Kiwi horror comedy Housebound to elevate its premise. No such luck for this scare-free laugh riot, wherein the doll is now actually cursed, the boy in the walls is unheard from (sorry, spoilers for the first film), and Katie Holmes continues to deserve better.
