11. Jason Momoa - Drax The Destroyer

Before Jason Momoa became Aquaman, he was offered the part of Drax the Destroyer that eventually became Dave Bautista's, turning it down because he didn't want to become typecast as a painted brute, instead opting to direct his feature debut, Road to Paloma.

It seems that everything worked out for the best, though: Bautista made Drax very much his own, and Momoa looks to be killing it as Arthur Curry.

Would It Have Worked?: Definitely. Granted, Bautista brings a very unique intensity and sense of humour to the part, but it's easy to imagine Momoa pulling off a different but no less valid take on the character.
