15 Awesome Scenes From Trailers That Were Stupidly Cut From The Film
8. Iron Man 2
One of the more confusing developments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was the sudden relationship between Tony Stark and Pepper Potts. A caring friend with the odd flirtatious aside for most of first two Iron Mans, when we jump forward to The Avengers, they're suddenly a full on item. However, judging from the trailers for the second (and worst) Iron Man, the relationship was intended to have developed further by that film's start.
The trailer opened with some serious flirty banter between the pair with Pepper cheekily kissing the Iron Man helmet and Tony claiming she completes him. The film, however, picks up with Stark at the same point, but no Pepper in sight. What's ridiculous here is that the scene was such a prominent part of the advertising campaign that its lack of inclusion sticks out.
Odds are Marvel opted to cut the scene as a way to maintain Stark's playboy ways, something a lot less humorous if he's on the borders of a serious relationship.
