2. Loki Steals The Throne (Thor: The Dark World)

The Moment: After Thor makes nice with Odin at the end of the movie, it's revealed that Loki had in fact been disguising himself as his adoptive father all along, and has taken the throne all for himself.

Why It's Creepy: For one, it's yet another duplicitous trick from the God of Mischief, but the real creepiness here comes from the fact that the audience is never told exactly what's happened to Odin.

Did Loki kill him? Is he taking another epic nap? Or did Loki merely sequester him somewhere so that he's unable to interfere? Fans have been discussing Odin's fate ever since The Dark World was released, and it'll continue to be dissected until the inevitable reveal in next year's Thor: Ragnarok.
