15 Most Deranged Movie Psychopaths

6. John Doe (Seven)

John Doe, the name given to an anonymous victim in murder investigates, is the antagonist in the 1995 David Fincher film, Seven. Doe is a rare breed of genius psychopaths who has been corrupted by his childhood and considers himself a vigilante working for God. Doe was beaten as a child by his mother, suffered through a sexless marriage where his wife eventually cheated on him and was fired from his job. This series of frustrations leads to Doe carrying out a plot to create murders inspired by each of the seven deadly sins, as a reminder to everyone not to piss off God. The first sin, Gluttony, saw him force feed a man to death, Greed saw him allowing a rich attorney to bleed to death, Sloth was represented by a drug dealer whom he had immobilised and starved for an entire year, Lust had a man forced to rape and kill a prostitute while Pride had Doe mutilating a model which drove her to suicide. The two remaining sins were the most complex part of Doe€™s plan. He manipulated officers Mills and Somerset, revealing that he has raped and killed Somerset€™s wife (he presents him with her head in a box to eliminate any doubt). Doe claims he was envious (the sixth sin) of Somerset€™s life. In a fit of rage, Somerset kills Doe (wrath) and completes the seven deadly sins cycle. Despite him dying, Doe actually won because his murderous display was completed. Doe€™s willingness to involve himself in his own murder plot is indicative of his deranged psychology.
