15 Dumbest Things In The Worst Summer Movie Season Ever
15. Crossbones Gets 2 Minutes Of Screen Time - Captain America: Civil War
After Brock Rumlow (Frank Grillo) was brutally disfigured in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, fans couldn't wait to see him return as supervillain Crossbones in Civil War.
Sadly, the iconic antagonist has slightly less than two minutes of actual screentime in the final movie; facing off against Cap and co. in the opening Lagos set-piece. Worse still, after a brief fight he decides to commit a suicide bombing, and that's that.
Why It's Dumb: The set-up was significant enough in TWS that fans were hoping for Crossbones to get a relatively fleshed-out treatment, especially when an actor as awesome as Grillo was cast in the role.
Instead, he's basically a disposable baddie for the movie's opening, barely making it past the film's 10 minute mark, committing an atrocity that sets the plot in motion but really could've been carried out by any generic villain.
Sure, the film as a whole was totally awesome, but this was undeniably disappointing.
