Lowe does a fantastic job milking awkward situations for every cringe and laugh they're worth while building up to shocking explosions of violence.

That Lowe shot the film for $100,000 in just two weeks is nothing short of staggering, especially considering the sharp quality of the end product and how meticulously-crafted it seems for the most part.

It's certainly not for the squeamish, or the pregnant for that matter, but as proof of what a talented filmmaker can do with bare resources, in her debut no less, Prevenge hits the mark.
