2. Daniel Craig Re-Wrote Dialogue For Quantum Of Solace

The production of Quantum Of Solace was not an easy ride. The script was nearing completion when the unthinkable happened - the writers strike occurred. This meant that a film of immense magnitude was about to have its lengthy pre-production halted because of an unfinished script. Since so much work had already been done and they didn€™t want to give up on the money they spent, the film pushed forward anyways despite the status of the script.

The solution to this dilemma? Daniel Craig and director Marc Forster began to re-write scenes while on set. The rules state that during the strike, the film couldn€™t employ any writer, but the actor and director were allowed to work on scenes together. Thus, reluctantly, the two did their best to try and polish the script.

The results weren€™t what anyone hoped for and the film was never intended to be as much of a sequel as it was. Daniel Craig still laments how ridiculous it was that he had to perform the re-writes and in doing so, earns a bit of forgiveness on our part for how the film turned out.
