12. Donald Duck Loses It - Mickey And The Beanstalk (1947)
In this Disney retelling of Jack And The Beanstalk, Donald, Mickey and Goofy are living together, but theyre running perilously low on food. Whilst the latter pair seem to be putting on a brave face, poor old Donald suddenly goes cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs, smashing the place up before grabbing an axe off the wall and attempting to butcher the trios pet cow. Mickey intervenes, because he has a much better idea: sell the cow so they can buy some food. The only problem is Mickey ultimately trades the cow for some magic beans, causing Donald to go all Jack Torrance once again. It's a bit much for children, sure, but at the same time you really can't fault Disney for showing a realistic depiction of desperate insanity, because, honestly, who wouldn't have killed and eaten Mickey by this point?
