15 Most Awesome Explosions In Movie History

13. Zoolander

There are awe-inspiring explosions which cement movies as undeniable classics of the action genre, and then there are explosions played totally for laughs.

The latter is most certainly the case in Zoolander, where Derek's (Ben Stiller) three roommates and fellow models are killed in a "freak gasoline fight accident."

As the four men head out for some fun - set to Wham!'s classic "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" - they stop at a gas station to fill up their car. Derek gets distracted while his pals playfully douse each other in gasoline, and one of the trio lights up a cigarette, trigging a comically gigantic slow-mo explosion.

It manages to be both hysterically funny and a genuinely show-stopping moment in its own right.
