1. High Heels While Running From A T-Rex - Jurassic World
The Moment: Jurassic World's operations manager Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) is a strong, independent career woman...who wears high heels throughout the entire movie, even when hell breaks loose...even when she's being chased by a freaking T-Rex. Why It's Controversial: There wasn't a single movie moment more talked about than Claire's peculiar choice of footwear, with many questioning why she didn't remove the heels or change into a more practical type of shoe for fleeing blood-thirsty dinosaurs (hell, it's a golden opportunity for some ham-fisted Nike product placement). While some, such as the movie's cast, saw it as a harmless eccentricity that could be readily mocked, others cried foul that the film was reinforcing patriarchal ideas of women needing to act and appear a certain way, strengthened by Claire's transformation from an ice b**ch with no interest in children to a more maternal figure by film's end. If the next Jurassic Park movie is smart, there will be some sort of gag mocking this, or at least a gratuitous shoe-changing scene. Which movie scenes from 2015 did you find the most controversial?
