15. The Expendables

Required Action Hero Line: "We are the shadows and the smoke, we rise. We are the ghosts that hide in the night."

This 2010 flick may have come about 20 years too late, but it was still amazing to see Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Bruce Willis all together for the first time without going to a Planet Hollywood restaurant.

Spawning two sequels (at least?), The Expendables brought together an ensemble of big action star types. Mixing together aged stars such as Dolph Lundgren and Jet Li with fresher faces like Jason Statham and Terry Crews, Stallone was able to direct a cast who's careers spread across multiple decades.
