8. The Wolverine Doll - Logan
It's not a particularly reference-heavy film generally, but one of the best comes at the emotional climax of Logan, as Wolverine lies dead in his grave having discovered what it is truly like to belong to a family. In the wake of the brutal final battle, the young mutants he helps save conduct a heart-felt funeral for their hero.

One of the kids - revealed to be called Bobby, whose mutation involves electricity is holding a classic design Wolverine action figure, complete with yellow spandex suit. Presumably he was already a fan of the Wolverine character before he got to meet his idol. It's only on screen briefly, but it's a great little nod.
