Movies sure did love neon this year, huh? Don't feel bad if you haven't heard of this neo-noir thriller, which despite starring Margot Robbie, Simon Pegg and even Mike Myers, was dumped on VOD in most countries and sank without a trace.

To be clear, Terminal isn't a great or even particularly good movie, but it sure is a weird one.

Robbie stars as a mysterious waitress plotting to exact revenge for a tragic past, in what's basically a throw-everything-at-the-wall mash-up of Guy Ritchie and Quentin Tarantino.

Robbie and Pegg certainly give it their all - the latter playing against-type as a suicidal assassin - and Myers' mere presence as a janitor is itself unavoidably peculiar, though the sum of Terminal's parts is sadly rather derivative and lacking.

It's certainly not boring, though, and from its snappy, "witty" dialogue to its heightened visuals and abundance of loony plot twists, Terminal is a beguiling proposition all-around.
