5. Morpheus...But No Trinity - John Wick: Chapter 2
Laurence Fishburne's small but crucial role in John Wick: Chapter 2 as charismatic kingpin The Bowery King was a dream come true for fans of The Matrix franchise, reuniting Fishburne and Keanu Reeves on-screen for the first time in almost 15 years.
However, the movie clearly could've gone one step further yet chose not to, to the disappointment of many Matrix fans. Surely there must've been a way to give Trinity herself, Carrie-Anne Moss, a small supporting role?
Granted, some fans have protested that having all three major Matrix characters in the movie would be too distracting and on-the-nose, but let's be honest, most of us still would've grinned from ear-to-ear if she'd shown up for even the briefest of cameos.
