3. Star-Lord Ruins The Plan - Avengers: Infinity War
Star-Lord, you freaking idiot.
By far the most infuriating and heavily debated moment of Avengers: Infinity War occurs during the climactic battle against Thanos (Josh Brolin) on Titan.
The Avengers' plan actually appears to succeed as Mantis (Pom Klementieff) subdues the Mad Titan while the other Avengers attempt to remove the Infinity Gauntlet from his hand.
But the revelation that Thanos has killed Gamora (Zoe Saldana) infuriates Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) enough that he can't help himself, hitting Thanos in the face and breaking Mantis' empathic hold over him.
Spider-Man (Tom Holland) almost removes the Gauntlet, but Thanos just barely snatches it back, ultimately allowing him to perform the snap heard around the universe.
As frustrating as this was, it was at least within the realm of Star-Lord's established temperament and personality.
