11. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III

It's fair to say that all three of the live-action 1990s Turtles movies were lovingly embraced by kids while being largely rubbished by adults (and critics in particular).

But this is especially true in the case of the ridiculous third instalment, 1993's imaginatively-titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III.

As a kid, seeing the Turtles transported back to feudal Japan via time travel hooey and wearing samurai garb was just the best.

But as an adult, it's tough to ignore how much cheaper the movie looks than its predecessors - especially the Turtles' animatronic effects - while offering up an extremely shallow time travel comedy in the process.

File this under "neat idea, crappy execution."
