Remarkably, it's been ten years since Spider-Pig's screen debut. It's been a decade since people stopped talking about the possibility of a Simpsons movie and actually got to buy tickets to go and see it. And it's been a tenth of a century since it almost universally inspired entertained reactions.

Such is the notable lack of conspicuous technological developments in the world of Simpsons animation, everything from the past decade or so looks brand new (which some rather cruelly take as a catch-all indicator of inferiority).

The film has some great moments: the Bart penis joke is very funny, the giant dome story-line is grand enough to warrant a feature length and it avoids out-dating itself a hell of a lot better than most episodes.
