Spanning seven books and eight movies, the Harry Potter franchise is one of the biggest and most popular in the world. Hundreds of millions of people of all ages have fallen in love with not only the boy who lived, but the entire world built by J.K. Rowling.
The magic of the wizarding world has allowed the author to create a story with literally no limits. In theory there could be a spell, a charm, or a potion to fix just about anything if a witch or wizard is skilled or knowledgeable enough to use it properly.
With that being said however, this kind of freedom does lend itself to potential pitfalls and traps with regards to having a water-tight plot, and general common sense throughout the story. Particularly with a fan base so committed to Harry Potter, any mistake, no matter how small, was always going to be noticed.
With certain overpowered weapons in a witch or wizard's arsenal, little details that have gone unexplained, and a lot of lore to keep straight, unfortunately the Harry Potter movies weren't 100% successful in avoiding these traps.
