5. Rocky Dies - Creed II

The Rumour: After appearing to successfully fend off non-Hodgkin's lymphoma at the end of the first Creed, Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) sadly succumbs to a re-emergence of the disease, or basically ends up dead some other way.

How Likely Is It?: Though Rocky's death would have a certain poetic resonance, what with Balboa's own trainer Mickey (Burgess Meredith) dying in Rocky III, it would ultimately just leave fans feeling miserable given that Creed seemed to close the door on his health issues by its end.

Creed II already has plenty of drama to mine from the grudge match between Adonis (Michael B. Jordan) and Viktor Drago (Florian Munteanu), so Rocky will probably survive the movie. Fingers crossed, anyway.
