14. Venom Only Has A Few Minutes Of Screen Time - Venom
The Rumour: From the moment the first trailer dropped for the Tom Hardy-led Venom movie, word began to spread that the titular symbiote would actually only be featured in its full form for a few scattered minutes.
For the most part, audiences will instead be dealing with Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock, who has black, sinewy tendrils shooting out of his body to protect himself. The full Venom suit will just show up for mere fleeting moments.
How Likely Is It?: This is a tough one. The newest trailer showed off a bunch more footage of Venom's full form, but it's entirely possible Fox is basically giving away most of the money shots in the trailers out of desperation, especially after the vitriolic response to that first trailer.
Given that the budget is reportedly much lower than a full-on superhero tentpole, it would make sense that the effects-heavy stuff is toned down, and given that Tom Hardy's the star, it's probably best to only expect Venom's face to be in the movie for 5-10 minutes. Shame.
