Though based on Robert Kimmel Smith's acclaimed novel, it's fair to say that Robert De Niro is incredibly hit-and-miss at the box office these days, especially when it comes to family-friendly material such as this.

While it's not releasing with much direct competition, it's still easy to see audiences simply passing on a movie in which De Niro plays a grandpa who gets continually pranked by his scheming grandson.

Though it's important to consider how the film might score with younger audiences, unless reviews are effusive this one's probably got a fairly low box office ceiling.
