Why It Should Suck: It's a belated, inconceivable sequel that retcons Xander Cage's (Vin Diesel) off-screen death in the second movie now that Diesel's a megastar with the Fast and the Furious franchise, directed by the guy behind masterpieces such as Eagle Eye and I Am Number Four. Who asked for this?

Why It Might Be Awesome: That said, the trailer looks like it knows exactly what it is and should play up to the cartoonish silliness fans of Diesel expect.

Plus, it's co-written by one of the minds behind Olympus Has Fallen, which turned out to be a surprisingly fun B-movie, and the cast includes a returning Samuel L. Jackson, martial arts legend Donnie Yen as the villain, Toni Collette, Ruby Rose, Rory McCann and Tony freaking Jaa.

The trailer shows Vin Diesel riding a motorbike through the ocean, which really tells you all you need to know. It won't be the smartest film you'll see next year, but it won't take take itself one iota seriously and should deliver some inspired mayhem along the way.
