5. Ciarán Hinds - Justice League
The Role: The menacing alien Steppenwolf, who heads to Earth at the behest of his nephew Darkseid in order to recover the three Mother Boxes that have been hidden there.
Why He'll Be Wasted: Hinds will be playing and voicing Justice League's villain via performance capture, the combination of which should at least ensure the character has more personality than Batman v Superman's rather dull and lackluster Doomsday.
However, Hinds is such a fantastic actor that it's a shame he isn't getting to play the character in purely physical form, especially as this iteration of the character is meant to be old and tired, so Hinds' own age wouldn't seem out of place.
It's easy to imagine him both being suffocated by the digital mayhem and the movie's gigantic cast. Either way, don't expect Hinds' performance to be a particularly noteworthy aspect of the troubled blockbuster.
