Why She'll Be Wasted: Well, she was totally, embarrassingly wasted in the recent Fifty Shades Darker, so why the Hell would she fare any better in the next one?
As anyone who's read the cliff notes for the third book knows, it's the soapiest and most ludicrously melodramatic of them all, and Basinger's character has quite a large role to play in it.
Not only will Basinger's talents be thoroughly squandered, but she could even land herself a Razzie nomination for her troubles. Hopefully the yacht or holiday home she bought with her double paycheck was worth it.
