15 Weirdest Ever Batman Movie Tie-In Toys

4. Batman Forever Audio Game - Batman Forever

There was a time when tie-in games for movies that weren't played on a console were all the rage. This included 1995's Batman Forever.

The game is a mishmash of cards and tokens and something called a Battle Coin. The two-sided game board lets you play in either Gotham City or Claw Island. There are cards representing Two-Face, the Riddler, Batman and Robin, gadgets, and vehicles.

The game box promises that no two games are the same and that the outcome will be different every time, which in the '90s was a huge deal, before RPGs and open world shooters that can give you hundreds of possible endings came along.

For some odd reason, instead of a rule book, the rules come on a cassette tape that uses 'real voices and sound effects' from the movie. Which is fine, aside from the fact that the guy reading the rules sounds like he is doing a very bad impression of an old-time radio newsman, and failing even at the low bar he set for himself.

At the very least, you got to hear the 1989 Batman theme as part of the tape. Unfortunately, there was no pencil included to rewind the tape and save your batteries.

If you're lost after that last sentence, ask your parents (or grandparents.)
