14. The Joker - Suicide Squad

Time has not been kind on Jared Leto's weird juggalo pimp clown version of The Joker. Despite an admirable attempt to bring in some previously unused comic book reference points, Leto's performance lacked any sort of restraint and he spent way too much time trying to over-perform.
With a better directorial influence, he might have worked, and there are flashes of a truly visceral villain in there, but he's edited so badly out of the film that he just feels like a frivolous attempt to cash in on the character's brand.
The sub-plot more unflinchingly showing his abusive relationship with Harley should have been left in, as it might have added a little more substance, but that opportunity is long gone now. Still, at least he'll probably get another go at the job.
