After that introductory sequence, the film starts with a bang when two gamers piss off an arcade machine enough to make it come alive and start shooting the place up, spraying lasers and middle fingers as it goes.

It's a scene that seems pulled out of the lunatic imagination of the latter instalments of Saints Row, and again it's an establishing sequence that sets expectations early. A profane, hyper-violent arcade machine killer robot would ordinarily be the kind of thing that crowns a film: for Kung Fury, it's just the start of things.

It's hard to keep track of the grin-inducing moments even this early on, but the child's pram that rolls forlornly through the action on fire without a second luck is just perfectly stupid.
