8. Your Highness

The Pitch: A stoner take on the fantasy genre, starring James Franco, Danny McBride, and Natalie Portman in a thong.

What Happened?: Even when you've gotten over the fact that Portman had a body double for her famous thong scene, Your Highness is a depressingly underwhelming take on a brilliant idea.

It's clear that the cast had a ton of fun making it, but as is so often the case, that fun ultimately didn't translate through to the final product.

Most of the funny lines were in the trailers, the gag-rate is horrifically hit-and-miss, and unless you're stoned yourself, it's like being at a party where everyone else is high and you're stone-cold sober.
