The word "family" is spoken so much throughout the Fast and Furious series (especially in the last two or three movies), that a pretty solid drinking game could be organised solely around it. Rarely more than 20 or 30 minutes go by without Dominic reminding the audience of the bond between the racers, which doesn't just make them a team but, yep, a family. Though it's a nice idea and works to a point, it's been hammered home so hard so relentlessly that it's also become pretty tired by this point. It's not as if it's a deep, meaningful idea that can be brought up again and again with a fresh take, though with Brian (and possibly Jordana Brewster's Mia) being retired in the upcoming seventh film, hopefully James Wan will find an interesting way to spin the theme away from the ordinary, well-worn approach.
