8. Attack Of The Drones - Iron Man 3
The Film
For all the complaints about the Mandarin twist, Shane Black's Iron Man 3 is a hugely enjoyable romp that gets the nostalgic buddy cop feel absolutely spot on and runs with Tony Stark's post-Avengers PTSD in a smart, important way for the rest of the MCU.
It has great villains, a great central performance by Robert Downey Jr (again) and a great story that brilliantly advances Stark's personal arc. And it's crowned by one of the most impressive set-pieces in the entire MCU...
The Moment
With the President kidnapped on an oil tanker (ahead of his live execution on television), Iron Man and War Machine head into battle against the Extremis-powered Aldrich KIllian. And after hints at the true level of Stark's obsessive suit building throughout the film, we see it realised fully when he plays his trump card: inviting the "iron legion" to the field of battle.
It's basically a fan-baiting moment as we get to see lots of other vehicles for Stark's genius - including the Hulkbuster - and seeing them all in battle is the perfect gem to crown the movie.
