Though fans will forever be tormented by what might've been had Edgar Wright directed Ant-Man, the Peyton Reed version is still a fun, visually spectacular and hilariously weird heist film. Sure, the villain blows and some of the cinematography looks pretty rough, but it's a neat introduction to the character and a totally fine, mid-tier MCU entry.

Almost every major blockbuster has some form of product placement, but did Ant-Man really need to go so unforgivably blatant with its Baskin Robbins shilling?

The ice cream chain is featured prominently early on when Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) ends up working there, and when his boss finds out about his criminal past, he's told, "Baskin Robbins always finds out". Oh, and his boss tells him to pour himself a Mango Fruit Blast on the way out of if he wants.

Sure, it's played for laughs, but there's a smug self-satisfaction to the scene that makes it even more infuriating than typical, lazy product placement. It's as if Marvel Studios are saying, "Haha, we made the product placement really blatant so it's totally cool and funny and OK, right?"

And by even mentioning the scene and the brand in question, we're playing right into their grubby, greedy little hands.
