16. South Park: Bigger, Longer And Uncut

After almost thirty years, South Park is still going and it's still great. It's still providing some of the greatest satire on television... but, to quote the member berries from the show's controversial 20th season, "member the film?" 

In 1999, during the early years of the show, Trey Parker and Matt Stone did indeed release a South Park movie to cinemas and it was completely and utterly brilliant. Despite the lower quality of early South Park seasons compared to later on (Parker and Stone themselves have expressed regret over the first three seasons, which focused more on toilet humour and shock value), South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut is one of the greatest movies ever to be based on a TV show. 

It's a gut-burstingly hilarious comedy musical filled with dynamite songs, bonkers set-pieces and more satirical jabs than you can shake a stick at, with the picture ingeniously sending up everything from censorship to the Disney Renaissance. You can watch this short, sweet feature many times and see new details on each rewatch and as such, you'd really expect to hear more people talking about it. 

But no, it often seems to be forgotten and that is such a damn shame, not to mention a total injustice. After all, people still remember The Simpsons Movie and South Park's feature film is vastly superior to that one.
