20 Best Blu-rays Of 2015

5. Mad Max: Fury Road

If you thought Mad Max: Fury Road wasn't going to make an appearance on this list, you were wrong. The best action film of 2015 - if not, the best film, period - is an absolute wonder to experiene on Blu-ray. If somebody got you Fury Road on DVD for Christmas, when they know you have a Blu-ray player or a PS4 - cut that person out of your life. The picture quality makes a good case for the benefits of digital over celluloid, as director George Miller captured all of the vehicular carnage with a variety of digital cameras. The clarity on the Blu-ray is stunning, and those madcap action sequences that so completely bowled-over audiences in cinemas last year will thankfully carry the same effect when enjoyed at home. Sweetening the pot is a solid selection of bonus features, including a fascinating look at the insane amount of planning that went into those completely-nutso set pieces; if Fury Road had you wondering "how the hell did they do that!?" in the cinema, the Blu-ray will answer your question.
