12. Payday 2 References - Hardcore Henry

This loopy, video game-inspired action flick features a number of references to the 2013 video game Payday 2.

For starters, an early action sequence has Payday 2 and Left for Dead 2 posters on the wall, and more blatantly, when Henry is in the strip club mid-film, he opens a drawer which contains Jimmy's (Sharlto Copley) mask.

This mask isn't actually used by Jimmy in the movie, but features heavily in Payday 2's character pack of Jimmy, functioning as a tie-in between the game and movie.

Additionally, the co-founder of Payday's Overkill Software, Bo Andersson, receives a "special thanks" in the credits. For gaming fans (who were primarily the movie's demographic), these nods were great.
