3. Brad Pitt - Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
It's often said that Brad Pitt is a character actor trapped in a movie star's body, and that's perhaps no more evident than in his ludicrously entertaining performance as stuntman Cliff Booth in Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Pitt is given the floor to deliver surely the coolest, most easy-going character of the entire year - if we assume that whole wife-killing rumour was untrue, anyway.
Like DiCaprio, Pitt is a fantastic comic actor who doesn't get nearly enough opportunities to show it off, but here he's a ball of laid-back hilarity and, through his friendship with Rick, also a deeply likeable confidante.

That it all explodes into a flurry of hilariously brutal violence at the end is just the icing on the cake.
