12. Aaron Eckhart - Harvey Dent (The Dark Knight)
Though he plays third billing to Heath Ledger and Christian Bale, Aaron Eckhart's oft-overlooked performance as Gotham City's white knight, Harvey Dent, shouldn't be slept on.
The chisel-jawed Eckhart is a pitch-perfect choice to play the city's dapper hope, which only makes his inevitable descent that much more tragic and horrifying.
Eckhart is fantastic as both the idealistic politician and tortured villain, and though his Two-Face arc does feel a tad rushed, he gives a marvellous performance in the little time allotted.
Best Moment: Two-Face rides in a limo with mobster Sal Maroni (Eric Roberts), and a coin flip decides that Maroni's life will be spared. Maroni's driver wasn't quite so lucky, as Dent explains while strapping himself in just a second before shooting the driver dead (and presumably killing Maroni in the process).
