20 Biggest Movies Of 2016: What Do We Already Know?

By Jack Pooley /

11. Console Wars

Release Date: TBA 2016. Who's Involved: Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg (This Is the End, The Interview) are planning to adapt Blake J. Harris' book Console Wars: SEGA, Nintendo and the Battle that Defined a Generation. What's The Story?: The film will chart the rivalry between Sega and Nintendo in the early 1990s as each sought to win console dominance over the other. Will It Be Any Good?: It goes without saying that, as Sony Pictures are developing it, they're going to want to play-up the eventual victory of the PlayStation over both companies, but Rogen and Goldberg have a unique comedic voice, and considering that they're both gamers themselves, this one could be a lot of fun. Hopefully a more crude and silly version of The Social Network.
