Another billboard Easter Egg following the appearance of Fin Fang Foom in Iron Man, this billboard nod in Thor is far more obscure. In the background, we get a brief shot of a billboard advertising New Mexico, and carrying the slogan "Land of Enchantment Journey into Mystery," which of course, Thor fans will recognise as a reference to the comic book that gave Thor his debut. The Asgardian made his first appearance in Journey Into Mystery No.83. There's also a nod to Thor's human origin in the comics when his fake ID flashes up, carrying the name Dr Donald Blake. That is of course a reference to Thor's mortal bodily host that Odin trapped him in to teach him some humility in the comics.
