Soy Cuba wouldn't be known today were it not for the efforts of Martin Scorsese, who wasn't remotely phased by any of the anti-American undertones of the film, probably because it features some truly stunning cinematography.

The funeral sequence is one stand-out moment among many (the opening shot around the pool party is another jaw-dropping highlight), tracking a funeral procession while weaving in and out of open windows on upper floors of the surrounding buildings. 

A complex rig and multiple camera operator passing the camera to each other was required to pull off this impressive shot, beginning around 2 minutes into this clip.
