17. Devil's Due

18% - 49 Reviews Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett made a name for themselves as part of Radio Silence, a filmmaking troupe who directed a series of supernatural pranks-gone-wrong viral hits on YouTube which lead to them providing the final €“ and best €“ section of the anthology horror film V/H/S. They carried their found footage style over to Devil's Due, but forgot to bring any of their wit or invention with them either. The film has been described as a €œfound footage Rosemary's Baby€ and...yep. It adds nothing else. And subtracts a lot. Choice review quote: €œDredging up horror movie favourites like random nosebleeds...Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett direct with competence but a dispiriting lack of originality.€ (New York Times)
