16. The Penguin's Rubber Duck Boat - Batman Returns
Danny DeVito does a terrific job playing an especially grotesque version of The Penguin in Batman Returns, but there's one aspect of the character which reeks of the movie going "full Tim Burton". The Penguin navigates his sewer home on an amusingly oversized rubber duck boat, which can also ride around on land. The irony is evidently meant to be that The Penguin, a water-based bird, needs another water-based bird to ride around, but it's really just a step too goofy in an otherwise mostly grimly dark film. Credit to DeVito, though: he just rolls with the punches and tries his absolute hardest to make it work.
