Originally intended for inclusion in the film, the first version of "The Morning Report" never saw the light of day, but the IMAX and Special Edition DVD releases of The Lion Kind added a new version based on the discarded song.
It was also featured in the live musical version of The Lion King, though it was subsequently dropped in 2010.
