20 Greatest Moments From Spider-Man Movies

7. Aunt May's Speech - Spider-Man 2

Revisiting Spider-Man 2 in recent times, it becomes so much more clear how Aunt May (Rosemary Harris) is the beating heart and soul of the Raimi Spider-Man films, particularly in the second part.

Many of the film's best scenes involve her heartfelt interactions with Peter, and never better than when she delivers a rousing motivational speech that inspires Peter to pick up the web-slinging mantle again.

May and Peter reconcile following Peter's prior revelation that he played a part in Uncle Ben's death, and May tells Peter about how much the world needs Spider-Man, regardless of the personal sacrifices he has to make to be a hero.

It's a wonderfully acted monologue by Harris, again confirming that Spider-Man 2 is the most mature and emotionally developed Spidey movie to date.

Plus, May totally knew Peter was Spider-Man, right?
