20. The Final Battle Vs. Electro - The Amazing Spider-Man 2

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 may be an abject mess of a film, but it'd be disingenuous to insist that it's not without some highly compelling moments.

As goofy and unappealing a villain as Electro (Jamie Foxx) may be in the movie, his visually stunning final showdown with Spidey sure is an eye-melter alright.

The two have a luminous tussle at Oscorp Power Plant, which while occasionally lurching into outright goofiness - particularly when Electro plays "Itsy Bitsy Spider" on the power conduits - is full of mesmerising imagery, energetic high-wire action, and a neato team-up between Spidey and Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone).

There's a lot to dislike about the movie overall, but this scene absolutely slaps.
