Hopefully, in ten year's time we'll all look back at the first It by Andy Muschietti as the touch-paper that lit renewed interest in Stephen King adaptations that lived up to the source material. Because it's certainly the movie that kicked off lots of interest in studios making more of them.

Next year we'll get to see the second, weirder part of the story, directed once more by Muschietti and reuniting the great young cast with Bill Skarsgard's phenomenal Pennywise. On top of those returning stars, Warner Bros have pulled off the incredible coup of hiring the likes of Jessica Chastain, Bill Hader and James McAvoy as the grown-up leads (as well as some other great talents).

If it lives up to the quality of the first movie and delivers on Muschietti's promise to go closer to the source and get a lot weirder then we're all in for a major treat.
