It isn't news to anyone that The New Mutants was delayed a frankly ridiculous number of times before Disney gave it a contractually-obliged theatrical run this past summer, without any of Fox's initially planned re-shoots ever taking place.

Incredibly, as the superhero film hit U.S. cinemas at the end of August, it had been a stunning 1145 days - that's three years and almost two months - since the movie started shooting.
And so, by the time The New Mutants was finally released, several of the cast members had aged noticeably in reality - especially Maisie Williams - and in the case of Anya Taylor-Joy, she'd become a far more prominent actor.
Rather aptly, the film was shot under the working title "Growing Pains."
