At the end of Diamonds Are Forever, when Jill St. John's Tiffany Case asks Sean Connery's James Bond how they can recover the diamonds from Blofeld's still-orbiting satellite, she seems to be hinting that she is still a duplicitous smuggler and that she wants Bond to join her. However, when a speechless Double-0 Seven attempts to answer her question, she simply smiles at him.

When Pierce Brosnan's James Bond and Jinx bailout of Graves's doomed Antonov in mid-air aboard a helicopter in Die Another Day, they suddenly find themselves in possession of a hoard of gems. "At least we're gonna die rich!" Jinx remarks, before the helicopter's motor kicks in, saving them.

Afterwards, the pair are seen frolicking in a cliffside Buddhist temple in a virtual sea of diamonds, lamenting the fact that they will have to hand them over to the proper authorities (an ending that is not unlike either that of Diamonds Are Forever or The Man With The Golden Gun, in a setting that is akin to the ninja training school in 1967's You Only Live Twice).

It took him 31 years to answer Tiffany Case's question, but the fact is that a Bond villain always seems to have a fortune in gems floating around, so there will always be more where that came from!
